In 1966 students and teachers from the nearby Westall High School and Westall Primary School reported seeing hovering flying saucers in Grange Reserve and whilst this sighting has never been explained, in 2013 Kingston Council built a UFO playground to celebrate the occasion!

Naturally the star of the show is the large metal flying saucer, accessed by a rope net. There is a control panel complete with steering wheels and a firemans pole for quick exits should soe aliens invade, plus you can take the fun red slides down as well. The structure is also said to light up with coloured LEDs at night! There is a further assortment of older wooden newer metal and rope climbing structures as well as a large sandpit with inbuilt digger, blue people-spinner, flying fox and plenty or rooms for kicking a ball and running around.

Visit the adjoining nature conservation area, accessed through a wire gate at the edge of the playground. There are a number of walking tracks to explore winding their way through the heathland, which is dense with vegetation.

Picnic in the shaded BBQ areas or out on the lawn areas of this large park. There are onsite toilets and also some very interesting information boards about the original UFO sighting which are incredible to read.
