Our kids are loving the new playground at McKinnon Reserve which opened a few months back. Naturally the giant multi-level tower structure, with its huge green slides, is the stand out here and great for bigger kids, but there is a really lovely decking area around a gorgeous old tree which houses some smaller slides for the smaller kids. This area is connected to the tower by a fun rope-net bridge.

Whilst they kept the cool old metal parkour unit everything else is shiny and new! Monkey bars and scramble net, rock climbing wall, one of those cute Kompan cubbies, spinning net frame, hammock, a five-way swing structure, seesaw, balance beams and even a little wooden village shop and gas station where kids on scooters and bikes can “fill up”!

Bringing the pet dog? The northern end of McKinnon Reserve, including the playground and main oval is an on-leash area, whilst the southern end of the park (oval two) is an off-leash area for your active dog. Council will also be adding a modified basketball court, a custom bouldering wall and additional social seating soon. Brand new toilets finish off this excellent all rounder.
