Decorate your lounge room because this year the highly anticipated Roola Boola Children’s Arts Festival is ZOOMing into your living room virtually! Presented by the City Of Stonnington, Roola Boola Children’s Arts Festival will connect, engage and inspire in a digital format during the school holidays. Bringing high quality arts experiences with performances, workshops and unique activities to bring children’s imaginations to life.

“City of Stonnington is thrilled to host yet another year of what has become a much loved arts festival by both parents and children. These past few months have been a challenge, however Roola Boola will provide a creative outlet to connect the community and have a little fun. This year’s festival has adapted to an online format that provides the opportunity for households to be included in high quality interactive experiences.”

Cr Steve Stefanopoulo, City of Stonnington Mayor

This year’s program includes magic, dance and storytelling workshops designed to thrill and excite children, along with fun, high energy interactive performances produced by Varietyville Productions. There are also special Roola Boola Showbags by See Make Play full of fun and creative craft activities for children to complete at home.

“Varietyville Productions like the other experienced talent involved in the festival, have been performing and running workshops for many years. It’s exciting to change up the delivery method of physical comedy, music and circus performances. Children, young people and parents will be able to experience these art forms in a new way. It’s exciting to create a community feel around the festival with everyone zooming in from home.”

Daniel Oldaker, Director of Varietyville Production

Families can expect a little bit of circus, a little magic and a whole lot of fun from the Vartietyville shows. They’ll have guest performers and fun interactive segments. Roola Boola also has a history of encouraged dressing up and this year is no exception with people encouraged to create backdrops, dress up for the festival and wear their favourite costume.

Join in from Tuesday 30 June to Friday 10 July from the comfort of your own home.  Performances are only $5 per household and Workshops $8.
