Move over banana bread… There is a new iso-baking cake in town! The 4-ingredient carrot cake recipe has gone viral on the budget meals Facebook page, and it’s so simple, there is no surprise why!.

It’s quick, it’s easy and the kids are going to love it.


  • 2 cups self-raising flour
  • 2 cups of grated carrots
  • 1 tin of condensed milk
  • 100g of pecan nuts or walnuts (replace with sultanas if you prefer nut free)


  1. Combine all 4x ingredients together in a bowl. Mix well.
  2. Pour all the mixture into a lined cake tin.
  3. Bake at 180c for approx. 45 minutes or until a knife comes out clean when tested.
  4. Cool in pan for 5 mins then turn onto a wire rack.
  5. Cool completely before serving with a cream cheese frosting. Enjoy!
