The Cat Protection Society of Victoria has launched Cat Cuddling VIP (Very Important Petter) Sessions for the festive season.
Offered as the purrfect gift for people who cannot have a pet at home (due to allergies or living in a small apartment), or for those who might be feeling lonely at this time of year, the Cat Cuddling VIP Session gift vouchers are $25 for two adults and two children or one adult and three children, and include a VIP Meet and Greet and tour of the Society’s cat shelter, a 20 min cat cuddle-a-thon, and a voucher for a coffee/hot chocolate in the Society’s Purrfect Paws café.
The Shelter says simply spending time petting cats can help reduce blood pressure and stress levels, and stimulate the release of feel-good hormones including serotonin and oxytocin. For cats and kittens, the sessions offer them much needed TLC, affection and ensure they are socialised before finding their furever home.
All proceeds from the sale of the Cat Cuddling Very Important Petter Gift Vouchers will help the Cat Protection Society of Victoria continue to care for and rehome cats and kittens in need.
