This awesome $20 million Ador Park Precinct, delivered by Transport for NSW and the M6 Stage 1 project, has transformed the former Rockdale Bowling Club area into a recreational hub for active and passive activities from sporting fields to playgrounds and barbecue areas.

The centerpiece is the skate park, which was also designed for scooters, as well as the all abilities adventure playground which features a giant 9m high steel climbing tower with two tube slides, a 38m long accessible ramp and a balancing combination unit.

There are wooden balancing beams, fun giant sandstone animals and great play equipment housed under fun circular shade structures that light up at night.

Combined with a multi-generational Seniors exercise unit and outdoor adult fitness equipment from Lappset; this precinct is designed to cater for all age groups and all abilities.

In a nutshell:

  • Inclusive playground and BBQ area
  • New skate park
  • Great tree planting and landscaping
  • New shared cyclist and pedestrian pathway
  • Mid-sized grass field
