Treat Dad to the ultimate wildlife experience this Father’s Day as the Australia Zoo gear up to celebrate all the amazing dads out there!
Come and celebrate with gorgeous animal families and the great fathers at the zoo – there will be games, activities for the kids and some amazing prizes to be won.
Dad vs Dad Challenge
Do you reckon your dad has what it takes to be crowned this year’s Australia Zoo Father’s Day Challenge Champion? If you think he does, then be sure to register them for our Dad vs Dad Challenge. The quickest competitor through the giant obstacle race course wins an AMAZING prize pack from Oztent valued at $2,499. Registration is done on the day, so be sure to visit Guest Services when you arrive to book your spot!
Obstacle Course
Race on the giant inflatable obstacle course. Run, climb and jump your way to the finish line whilst having heaps of fun and laughs along the way. You will have such a great time, you’ll want to go again, and again!
Fantastic Father’s Animal Trail
Take on this epic adventure trail and celebrate some of the favourite, lovable animal dads around the zoo. You’ll get to meet some really famous dads, a Guinness Book of World record-breaking dad and some mischievous, funny larrikin dads. You’ll have to take on our fantastic father’s animal trail to find out who these dads are!
Koala Throwing Competition!*
*Don’t worry, the koalas aren’t real! We’re talking about our koala plush toys… which are equally cute and furry. Test out your skills and have a go at throwing some toy koalas with dad for your chance to win! Who knows? You might be going home with a plush toy koala from Australia Zoo on Father’s Day?!
Learn to Draw a Dinosaur
Looking for an awesome gift this Father’s Day? Why not treat dad to a cool drawing of a dinosaur through a live-drawing illustration workshop with a professional artist! Master the art of drawing with a front-seat view of the modern-day dinosaur – and Steve Irwin’s favourite animal – the crocodile. Watch their every feature as you are guided through how to draw this epic animal.
Caricature Artist
From 9 am at the Kid’s Zoo Lawn, sit down with one of our popular local illustrators and have your family caricature created! These entertaining drawings are wildly outlandish and will keep you smiling as you have some fun with dad today.
