It’s officially truffle season and to celebrate, the much-loved diamond of the kitchen is taking over Grazeland for a weekend of serious indulgence at the precinct’s first Truffle Festival!

From Friday 12th to Sunday 14th August, Grazeland’s vendors will serve up sweet and savoury dishes enhanced by the fungi’s signature umami flavour.

With cuisines from around the world, the sought-after ingredient will impart its earthy, intoxicating flavour into an array of Grazeland’s dishes. Options include a raclette with truffle gouda cheese from Frencheese, seared scallops with Australian black truffle butter, wild mushrooms and sea herbs from Claw & Tail and Black Truffle Shao Long Bao from Lucky Little Dumpling to name a few.

Other specials include Bratboy’s Truffle cheese brat with a Bratwurst sausage, truffle mayo & cheese, house-made red wine & onion jam on a toasted bun; Italian crumbed calamari with truffle dressed salad from Ink-Redible Calamari; pizza with mozzarella, sausage, wild mushroom and 5g truffle from 48H Pizza; and truffle flying noodles with braised pork from Flying Noodle.  Fat Tonys will also be serving up truffle inspired toasted sandwiches alongside their loaded truffle chip cone with truffle mayo.

Those adventurous enough to venture into truffle flavoured desserts can wander over to Doughville who have partnered with pastry chef Pierrick Boyer to create a French croissant filled with custard, topped with a truffle chocolate ganache and fresh truffle slices on top.

Alternatively, try the black truffle and dark chocolate chip infused ricotta cannoli garnished with dark chocolate chips from Cannoleria.

Visitors will also be treated to live music all weekend across the two main stages. With outdoor heaters and plenty of undercover spots, don’t let the winter weather deter from venturing out for some truffle hunting.
