Affectionately known as ‘The Train Park’, and one of Hobart’s best, this playspace originally featured a real train, but later upgrades saw it’s removal. However thankfully the train theme remains with a fun wooden train play area and a train/tricycle track with signs and bridges to follow. The park is fully fenced, has BBQs and toilets, and a great undercover area. When we last visited there were several kids’ party on, but you can’t book, so get their early.
The train play area is perfect for toddlers with places to climb and hide and pretend you are driving a train and near by swing set.
The main play area is a little more challenging with slides, climbing frames and bridges. And for the dare devils there are three long slides built into the hill at the back of the park. We love the big yellow one best that twists and turns. You’ll find a few musical pieces and bird pics up there too!
