Tuesday 26 May:

  • Join the team live at Seal Island at SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast at 10:00am to learn the secrets of a seal trainer! Hear what it’s like to work with the resident seals and say hello to these fantastic furry friends.
  • Tune into WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo at 10:30am to learn what a day in the life of a zookeeper is like when caring for the world’s largest marsupial carnivore, the Tasmanian devil. Keepers will be conducting an animal training session demonstrating how the Tasmanian devils participate in their own health

Wednesday 27 May: 

  • Tune into Madame Tussauds Sydney at 9:00am with their virtual tour of your favourite icons of the screen! From ET to Mad Max to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt (remember when ‘Branjelina’ was a thing?), sit back and feel the fame as you get up close to your favourite celebs from the comfort of your own home.Virtual tour link
  • Venture inside the Coral Atoll display at SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium at 4pm to discover the beautifully bright tropical fish. The camera will be placed underwater as the colourful creatures are fed!

Thursday 28 May:           

  • Hop back over to WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo at 10:30am to learn what a day in the life of a zookeeper is like when caring for one of the world’s largest and the deadliest birds, the southern cassowary. See an animal training session demonstrating how their cassowary, Princess, has been trained to move to different parts of his habitat so keepers can clean and care for the other residents of the Daintree Rainforest exhibit.
  • Then dive into SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium at 2:30pm and get up close to their adorable little penguins as you learn all about their home at the aquarium!

Friday 29 May:

  • Start your morning off with story time at WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo at 10:30am! Listen along as Keeper Justine, reads “Wombat Jumped Over the Moon” by Lachlan Creagh, published by Hachette. Wombat and his mates are having a bush picnic but they’ve almost run out of cake! There’s only one piece left. Who will get to eat it by doing the best trick? What trick can wombat do?
  • Meet Exhibits Manager Tereza at SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium at 4:00pm to discover which teeth belong to which marine creature! From the terrifying to the tiny, Tereza will show you all sorts of teeth belonging to aquatic animals at the aquarium.

Sunday 31 May: 

Head back to LEGOLAND Discovery Centre at 11:00am to wrap up Space Week with a space shuttle workshop. Every astronaut needs a space ship so join Kieran the Master Model Builder to learn how to build your very own LEGO shuttle.

Merlin Entertainments has also recently launched the FREE educational resource portal Merlin’s Education Toolbox. Inspired by the attractions, the online hub aims to provide much-needed assistance to teachers and parents facilitating home-schooling lessons and features a variety of worksheets, activities and videos.
