This year Kmart and the Salvation Army are coming together through the Wishing Tree Appeal to support those experiencing hardship as the devastating effects of COVID-19 set in.
With many families bracing for a different kind of Christmas, Kmart are asking the community to give a small gift with a big heart, because a little thought can go a long way.
The Salvation Army is bracing itself for the influx of community members looking for support, many of whom haven’t required assistance before.
Food and shelter will always be the number one priority however the positive impact of providing families with the opportunity to share gifts with loved ones, or receive a gift when they are alone, cannot be underestimated.
This year you can support online, in store and still gift a present at the Wishing Tree in your local Kmart.
Appeal runs from 19 October – 24 December 2020.
