The new song will be released on 18th March, educating little ones on the importance of recycling.
♫ Recycle, recycle we’re going to recycle♫
Hasbro and its global entertainment studio, eOne, are excited to announce the upcoming release of Peppa Pig’s brand-new single Recycling! Dropping on 18th March to coincide with World Recycling Day, the educational song aims to teach little ones how to recycle and why it’s important to do so. It will be available on all major streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon.
Derived from the animated series, the song was inspired by a particular episode, Recycling (Series 2, Ep. 11), that sees Peppa and George discover recycling while helping Mummy Pig tidy up after breakfast. The two young piggies learn what items go into which coloured bin and take a visit to the recycling centre to see Miss Rabbit who is an avid recycler – so much so she almost recycles their car!
The pre-school superstar hopes her legions of loyal fans will take on board the lessons communicated in the song while also having endless fun toe-tapping along to the catchy tune.
♫ When we’re finished with a thing. Don’t just throw it away.
Stop – take a moment to think is it paper, glass or tin? It’s easy when you sort it out into the proper bin ♫
The cheeky piggy made her long-awaited musical debut in 2019 with the release of Peppa Pig: My First Album. A compilation of 16 tracks, the album included fresh compositions alongside extended versions of much-loved songs from the series such as Bing Bong Zoo and Jumping in Muddy Puddles. The album experienced great success with 347,000 streams on Apple Music and 410,100 streams on Spotify globally within the first 4 days of its release. Within the first month, the album reached 90,000 streams in Australia, ranking no.4 for album streams globally.
As well as jumping back onto our stereos, Peppa is also spoiling fans with fresh new adventures on the screen with season 9 set to premiere on 22nd March! Episodes 1-13 will air daily at 7.55am on ABC Kids.
