If you’re a mum (which I highly suspect you are since you’re here), then cleaning is probably a job pretty low on your ‘fun’ list. I kind of envy the mums who have a strict ‘I mop the floors on Tuesdays’ mentality, but it’s just not me. As the owner of some amazing floor tiles that resemble a kind of terrazzo/concrete look that hardly ever shows the dirt, the whole mopping the kitchen/dining area is few and far between in my house. Ain’t nobody got time for dat. I’m a bit of the ‘clean when it looks dirty’ girl, so you can only imagine how gross my mop bucket water is when I finally do get around to cleaning. So, you can only imagine my excitement when the Tineco team asked if I was interested in testing the new Tineco vacuums to see if they helped make my cleaning life easy. Of course I immediately said “sign me up”!
Being a busy single mum with two kids who help themselves to food and drinks all the time, two sets of muddy football boots walking in the door after training, three cats treating my home as a giant jungle gym, and a full time job; whilst I know I should clean every week, I simply don’t have the time and energy to vacuum, mop and beautify my house that often.
So…. Enter the new Tineco FLOOR ONE S7 PRO wet and dry vacuum… Yes! Wet and Dry! It vacuums and mops at the same time. Genius right!? Where has this been all my life? I immediately named him Timmy Tineco and set to work set setting him up. Clean water in the back with a little bit of special cleaning solution and we’re off. This intuitive machine not only cleans your floor effortlessly, sucking up junk, food scraps and dirt whilst simultaneously mopping the floor with fresh water (it cleans the roller as it goes), it also cleans itself when it’s done, so all I have to do is tip the excess dirty water down the drain. And let me tell you, the first time I used it that water was gross 🤮. Did I really have that much dirt on my floor? Ha, who am I kidding? Of course I did, I never mop!
You may have seen these before… The whole vac/mop thing is not new. But this new generation Floor One S7 Pro Wet and Dry vacuum has a host of super fancy features making it an extreme-clean machine every mama should have. Whilst testing the new Tineco vacuums I discovered the the Tineco iLoop™ Smart Sensor that detects mess and automatically adjusts suction power and water volume depending on the floors needs (so clever). It also has an intelligent self-cleaning system for effortless maintenance, and a patented SmoothPower bi-directional self-propulsion system which detects movement to help you easily push or pull. The vacuum also comes with dual-sided enhanced edge cleaning to reach every nook and cranny, leaving no dirt behind, while its fancy LCD screen provides an easy-to-use interface and quick snapshot of performance and battery life.
It comes with a head-lit brush to illuminate the cleaning path into tight spaces and ensure that no mess goes unnoticed (I’m coming at you kitchen corners) and when you are done you park this beauty in its special docking station to conveniently store, self-clean and charge all at once.
Whilst my new Timmy Tineco is awesome on my downstairs hard tiled floors, and I’m actually cleaning regularly for once, my stairs and all three bedrooms upstairs are carpet. Fear not, Tineco have got the perfect solution for that also. Behold the Tineco PURE ONE S12 Platinum (gosh they all have such fancy names)!
Now I’ve had a Dyson for years, so I was a little bit hesitant to cheat on my Daisy Dyson, but she is looking a bit beaten up and I’ve already had to change the battery once. The minute I unboxed this Tineco beauty I knew I was onto a winner.

If your kids love unboxing videos on YouTube, they ain’t seen nothing yet. The PURE ONE S12 Platinum has sooooo many pieces to discover. And it’s white so it looks amazing mounted on your laundry wall, not like those colourfully offensive Dysons that ruin your laundry aesthetic. What immediately won me over was the fact that it comes with two batteries giving you up to 100 minutes of power, so you’ll never run out of puff. Secondly were all the accessories. All 13 of them! I particularly love the bendy hose making cleaning nooks and crannies, especially in the car, a breeze. The third feature I love is that you don’t have to hold the on button the whole time. Flick the silver leaver and it stays on for as long as you need. The direct-drive LED multi-tasker power brush is a total winner for vacuuming the whole house. Combined with the vacuum automatically adjusting suction via its iLoop Dust Sensor, this is a really intuitive machine.
This Tineco beauty certainly rivals my Dyson in performance. It’s significantly quieter than any vacuum I’ve ever owned, even using max suction and as well as the automatic suction adjustment, you can also manually set it to any strength. The lightweight design, visually dynamic LED screen and stylish white appearance certainly won me over too. It’s super easy to manoeuvre around tight spots and the almost ridiculous amount of attachments, including a dusting tool and a pre-filter cleaning tool, gives you a tonne of cleaning options. It even has an attachment for cleaning the dust filter!
But it was not all love at first sight. A few bug-bares include the dust bin which is said to be bigger than a Dyson but seems smaller to me and is really hard to empty. It’s a two-handed process to get it open and all the hair and junk gets stuck inside around the filter so I had to poke my fingers in to get it all out. I much prefer the one-handed release of my old Dyson to this. Also, there is a wall-mount charger and accessory holder, but regrettably it’s near impossible to get the charger to work unless the mount is screwed to the wall, so renters be aware.
But for tech-heads there is even a Tineco App where you can keep track of your cleaning and generate real-time updates and reports #cleaningnerd. You can also check for malfunctions in the App which sounds super helpful, although I’m not expecting this beauty to malfunction anytime soon.
So mama’s final verdict after testing the new Tineco vacuums… Both these vacuums are going to seriously make me step up my cleaning game. They are pretty awesome. Even the kids are loving vacuuming their rooms. Who would ’a thunk!
