It’s getting to that time of year when you may or may not be reminding your children that Santa is watching. It’s an old age way of ensuring their behaviour is to our liking in the lead up to the silly season.

But now you can actually help your kids check how they are rating by consulting the online official North Pole Naughty or Nice List.

The North Pole Government – Department of Christmas Affairs uses a global behaviour tracking network and data mining technology to determine who will be in good favour come Christmas which is then uploaded into a 175 list online with 9,384 names.

This year there were 5,611 names on the nice list and 3,772 names on the naughty list and the good news is if your kids one of the naughty ones, it’s not too late to turn this behaviour around and get on the good list pre-xmas.

Bed-making, dishwasher-unloading, actually hanging up your towel, putting away the washing. These will all contribute to getting on the big-fella’s good side. Even “nice” kids will need to keep on your good side because there is still time for the Minister of Christmas Affairs to change his mind.

“If you have found your name on the naughty list and would like to dispute the result, being a really good person between now and Christmas is a fast track alternative to the behavioural review system. Good deeds and genuine niceties will be detected by the Department’s Global Behaviour Tracking Network and good vibes will be sent directly to the North Pole Records Centre.”

About the list

This list relates to the people of the world’s performance for 2020 against the measures outlined in the Christmas Behaviour Statements.

In addition to providing an alphabetised list of all naughty and nice people for the 2020 financial year, this document contains details of how to rectify a naughty reputation.

Disputes

If you have found your name on the naughty list and would like to dispute the result, being a really good person between now and Christmas is a fast track alternative to the behavioural review system. Good deeds and genuine niceties will be detected by the Department’s Global Behaviour Tracking Network and good vibes will be sent directly to the North Pole Records Centre.

To get on the nice list fast, you need to act fast. The time frames for good behaviour adjudication are short and unforgiving.

As a result, it is extremely important that you notify the Department of Christmas Affairs as soon as you can if you believe your results are incorrect. If possible, get in touch before Christmas Day so that we can make sure your records are updated before Santa’s visit.

Your request for review is your one chance to put your entire case forward. So be sure to include all the good deeds you think make you deserving of a nice result.

At the end of the day, we want to help you be nice!
