To celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Day (19 September) the Australian National Maritime Museum is hosting a free online quiz night to challenge your inner pirate.
The Great Big Pirate Quiz, Friday 17 September 7pm – 8pm
The Great Big Pirate Quiz is under the harsh command of notorious cut throat pirate Captain Grognose Johnny. We’re off to raid, plunder and partake in a pirate quiz that will either lead the crew to treasure or to a water end!
Shiver me timbers and batten down the hatches as you join a group of scurvy lice ridden thugs. Don’t forget to dress to impress and get your ‘Arrrrgh on’ for a night of pirate pandemonium!

- Hollywood Pirates (Pirates Portrayed in the Arts)
- The Real Deal (Historical Facts)
There are great prizes to be won including:
