Book in your date with a dinosaur this summer at Scenic World’s exclusive Raptor Tales, a 20-minute larger-than-life theatrical puppet show that has been developed in partnership with acclaimed dinosaur wranglers, Erth.

Raptor Tales is a new addition to Scenic World’s Dinosaur Valley experience and due to popular demand performances will continue to be held from Thursday to Monday until February 27.

Audiences of all ages will be delighted as they get up close and personal with Scenic World’s very own, life-sized dino – a cheeky Fukuirapator named Cooee.

Grab a selfie with one of the dinosaurs in the main plaza, have a bite to eat in the breezy Terrace Café, and take the world’s steepest railway ride into the Jamison Valley. Under the expansive canopy of trees, you can keep mostly dry in the rain and cool on steamy summer days. Explore an open-air fossil museum with the escarpment as a backdrop, pat a baby dinosaur, and watch life-sized animatronic dinosaurs roaring and moving through the lush rainforest.

Once you’ve ascended from the valley in the Scenic Cableway, step onto the Scenic Skyway and travel 270 metres above the ancient valley below for a bird’s eye view of Katoomba Falls and the iconic Three Sisters.

Kids can continue the fun at home with Dino Ranger Packs filled with everything a young explorer needs – binoculars, re-usable Dinosaur Valley water bottle, official Junior Ranger badge, a bandana and more.

Scenic World Managing Director Anthea Hammon said it’s been wonderful to welcome people back to Scenic World this summer and provide a COVIDsafe experience for families to enjoy an iconic Blue Mountains adventure.

“We’re thrilled to see Sydney-siders visiting our beautiful Blue Mountains after what has been a challenging year for local businesses,” she said. “Although school holidays have ended, you can still make the most of summer by exploring Sydney’s own backyard here at Scenic World. We encourage visitors to stay a night or two and enjoy all our region has to offer.”

Where: Scenic World is located 90 minutes from Sydney City and is open Thursday to Monday in February.
