Roola Boola Children’s Arts Festival will return to the City of Stonnington from Tuesday 28 June – Friday 8 July, offering performances, workshops, free events and unique activities that will ignite children’s imaginations over the winter school holidays.

Families can laugh with The Listies, be enchanted by the Victorian State Ballet, be immersed in creative, hands-on workshops and more.

Suitable for children aged 12 and under, Roola Boola Children’s Arts Festival is one of Melbourne’s most successful annual children’s arts festivals and features spectacular and spellbinding performances at Chapel off Chapel for families this school holidays:

The Victorian State Ballet – Beauty and the Beast is a superb production featuring classical ballet skills and choreography. The show honours the magical much-loved fairy tale classic, including Belle and the Beast in their happily ever after final scene. Wednesday 29 June.

Circus Trick Tease – Brass Monkeys celebrates kids who march to the beat of their own drum. Bursting with high calibre acrobatics, a ton of comedy, live music and high-flying tricks, this show is perfect for little kids and grown-ups who like a big brass belly laugh. Friday 1 July.

Hoopla Clique’s Chores is an action-packed comedy circus performance that tells the story of two brothers who don’t want to do their chores and tidy their room. This performance is jam-packed full of silly jokes, cool stunts, acrobatic flips, unicycles, juggling, and the infamous toilet paper gun. Wednesday 6 July.

The Listies and Critical Stages Touring – ROFL is a bonkers sketch comedy extravaganza of epic proportions, made just for kids. The show is jam-packed with magically stupid stuff like toilet paper cannons, a real-life cowasaurus, and the kind of madness that only the award-winning maestros of kidault comedy can make. Friday 8 July.

Children and their parents can also join workshops at Chapel Off Chapel from See Make Play, NICA, Fizz Kidz, Amos Roach, and more! Children will be immersed in magic, puppetry, circus, dance, music, theatre, arts, craft, and more – there’s something for every child to enjoy. Highlights include:
