This holiday’s it’s all about the sense of ‘touch’.

Cool down with some fun water play and get hands-on with some pot-a-plant activities daily from 10am to 3pm.

Healesville Sanctuary

Keep cool while connecting with nature this holiday’s!

See what all the animals get up to in the summertime and make a splash with some fun activities, including:

  • Sand Art Play
  • Have a paddle and a splash in the Creek Play zones (subject to the weather and creek depth)
  • Cool down under various Water Misters
  • Compete in Leaf Boat Races
  • Build a Gunyah
  • Explore Bunjil and Corroboree Frog Nature Play
  • Test your knowledge with Future Vets
  • Enjoy Summer Lyrebird Presentation at 3:30pm in the RACV Aviary
  • See Land of Parrots during extended opening hours 10:30- 4:00pm
  • Keep an eye out for the Nature Rangers
  • Watch out for Bubblologists on their bubble bikes and join in bubble play

Sundown at the Sanctuary Healesville Sanctuary

Melbourne Zoo

Listen, play and indulge in an immersive sunset experience.

Throw down a picnic rug and relax while listening to local live music surrounded by the stunning wildlife at Healesville Sanctuary.

Delight in a rare opportunity to visit the animals after regular closing time and see what they get up to as the sun goes down.

On Saturday afternoons in February, the whole family can be entertained with fun lawn games as well as bubble play.

Delicious regional food options will be available and adults can savour sips from favourite Yarra Valley drops.

Make the most of the warmer weather as summer looms and join in all the activity between 3pm and 7pm.

Werribee Open Range Zoo

Keep cool this holiday’s at Hippo Beach! Check out what the animals get up to in the summertime.

Make a splash with water play, music, bubble fun, games and stories daily from 11am – 1pm.

On Saturdays and Sundays from 7 January, catch special appearances from entertainers including Bublo Picasso, Scratch DJ and Sir Rammy Livingstone.

Sunset Safari

Enjoy an unforgettable evening to fight wildlife extinction​.

Spend an incredible evening out with some of the world’s most iconic animals. Adventure onto the savannah for an intimate, extended safari tour and delight in immersive African performances.

Enjoy cocktails and snacks at Hippo Beach or feast with family and friends on a traditional African braai BBQ.*
