These colourful style parks certainly evoke a sense of excitement for my children, but this gorgeous park, nestled between two picturesque tree lined Elsternwick streets, had a more natural draw card for my kids. A stunning man made creek runs along the bottom end of the park, and even though it was a freezing wintery late afternoon, my two crazies proceeded to jump the creek and were unfazed when they slipped into the fresh water.

The park and creek area are beautifully landscaped with plenty of trees and lots of shaded seats and tables. The main structure suits children both big and small, with large and colourful with tunnels, ramps, a climbing mat, a mini rock wall, bridges, slides for all ages, and a big, interactive bead frame and Tic-tac-toe board. There are also two swing sets, one with toddler seats. Monkey bars (a must im my household), a flying fox and springy see saw.

The other highlight is a huge metal slide atop of a hill, not for the faint-hearted, but super safe with rubber matting all around and built in steps for climbing back up for another go.

Big rotunda with tables and BBQs (perfect for parties in warmer months), water tap and toilets. No ball games or bike riding is allowed in the park, but there is plenty to do without.
