Right in the heart of Brighton, Wilson Reserve has recently had a great new makeover as part of the Bayside Council $10.6m playground upgrade. What was once a tired play area overlooking a huge grassy area, is now a fun colourful space for younger kids to play called The Village Green Playground.

You can enter to playground over a dry creek bed via a cute wooden bridge. The playground consists of 3 brightly coloured wooden structures of varying sizes, featuring slides, a tunnel, a fire pole and lots of spots to climb and hide. There are also  swings, fun blue seesaw, rocking spring car and a spinner. On ground level for the littles is naughts and crosses, an abacus, a tunnel and a clock for some time telling fun.

Watch the kids tire themselves out scooting or running around the little rubber road that runs the perimeter of the main play structure, fly in the basket swing or see who can get to the top of the giant rope climbing pyramid.

Located near Brighton Rec, the playground is a great spot for burning off extra energy after one of the many classes and activities they offer at the centre, or for killing time when older siblings might be at gymnastics class or the like.

Please note there are no toilet facilities.
