The Sticks replaces the old playground just outside the Woolworths entrance. It’s an ideal playground for the Winter months with its close proximity to Rozzi’s (oh yes coffee), a parenting room, toilets, and of course everything else Highpoint has to offer. Daiso, Riot Art and Craft, and Sweet Box are nearby; all fun places for kids to choose a little something.

The playground is now only partially fenced but the seating is on the unfenced side so you can easily keep an eye on the kids. Much of the equipment is large enough for adults to join in too. The whole playground is covered in soft fall and the higher portions are netted similarly to indoor playcentres.

There’s lots of climbing and agility opportunities with a huge cargo net, very low ropes course, climbing tunnel and wooden elements to balance on. For sensory play there’s banging pipes and rubber platforms that squeak at different pitches when jumped or landed on. These are amusing for young children and older kids will enjoy the challenge of jumping from one to another.

Other more conventional elements include steering wheels, a part fireman’s pole part S shaped climbing frame, and binoculars.

Facilities: Drinking tap | bike parking | toilets | free Wifi.
