This neighbourhood playground is a mix of old and new with some recent upgrades bringing a great drawcard – a double flying fox. It’s a fantastic playground if you have kids of mixed ages – younger kids will enjoy the swings and smaller slide; older kids will love the flying fox and the sporting features; and kids of all ages can try the spinning basket with its stable birds nest base under a more daring climbing frame. The flying fox features an accessible seat and path.
Active features include a half court basketball, Aussie rules and soccer goal, and nearby trees to climb. Walk, scoot or ride along the nearby Bay Trail into Cheetham Wetlands or Truganina Park and the 100 steps of Federation.
There’s BBQs, a drinking fountain/tap, picnic shelter, and bike hoops. No toilets – Central Square Shopping Centre is an option a short drive away.
