Hello! Check out this new beauty… Warburton’s dilapidated pool site has been transformed into a wonderful new recreation area with an incredible playspace, water play park and gorgeous lawn area. A collaborative redevelopment with Yarra Ranges Council, Papworth Davies and Warrandale Industries is a genuine destination playground for the local community and neighbouring towns.

The stunning centrepiece is the Adventure Treehouse – a custom 10m high tower. It comprises two large spiralling tube slides from 9m and 6m platform heights, a small junior slide and a meandering maze of platforms which carry adventurers on their journey to the top.

The Treehouse also includes a 20m long adventure climbing track which snakes its way to the top with ropes, balancing beams and bridges. Two 2.75m Goblin climbing trees each with six branches develop climber’s fitness and motor skills.

The playground adopts a really lovely natural design with a second customised activity tower with central look out bridge, designed to provide a vantage point across the splash park and broader playground. The tower offers slides, plenty of climbing and balancing options, and multiple opportunities for adventure play.

There is a complementary basket swing with toddler and traditional bench seats, troll’s balance beams, a troll’s tree and a junior tower in the form of a locomotive with slide and crawl space – drawing inspiration from the historical logging and train line that once traversed Warburton.

Excitingly, but not so much in the Winter months, this playground has water play! The water play park includes a huge drenching bucket which which be a highlight during the warmer months as the water runs down the mock river, through the palm trees.

And last by not least is the set of six musical Emperor Chimes. The Chimes promote inclusive play, offer a complete C-Major Pentatonic Octave C3-C4, and bathe the musicians in soft, velvety rich tones that they can not only hear but can feel as well.
