Target has announced a recall of a popular kids furniture item due to safety concerns.
In a statement Target have stated they are conducting a voluntary recall of the Alfie Kids’ Chair (keycode 63662375) due to a potential safety issue.
Defect: Target share concerns that screws used to attach the legs to the base of the chair may be too short resulting in the chair breaking if a child rocks on the chair or leans to an angle. This could result in serious injury.
The item was available for purchase between 24 August 2020 and 26 August 2021.
Target have expressed to their Customers that they should immediately stop using the product and return the item once it is safe to do so given current COVID lockdown.
“Given the Australian Government’s strict travel and lockdown restrictions in response to COVID-19, we request that you return the recalled product to a Target store once it is safe to do so and your local store is open for customer trade. Please note that our stores are presently operating under contactless Click and Collect conditions and are not able to process transactions. You do not need a receipt and there is no time limit on this refund. What is important right now is that you stop using the product for your safety.”
