Packer Park in Carnegie is one of Glen Eira’s most popular and well-serviced sport and recreation facilities. With the extensively varied facilities, you can have a BBQ with family and friends, take in the landscape with a stroll along the walking path, shoot some hoops or look for frogs and birds in the wetland area. Packer Park is also home to the City’s only cycling velodrome.
The current playground (below), arguably one of the most colourful in Melbourne, has also been a source of much fun for many years, but it’s time she got an upgrade and council want you to “have you say”!
Phase two community engagement on the Packer Park playground upgrade is now open. Glen Eira Council have reviewed community feedback from phase one and used it to develop a concept design. They are now seeking feedback to refine the final design. To assist you in providing feedback on the concept design, they have developed artists impressions and a fly through video to demonstrate how the playspace would come to life.
