Grazeland, Melbourne’s permanent foodie playground, is celebrating one year since opening its doors to the public and to mark the occasion it will be throwing a huge birthday celebration over the weekend of 25th -27th March with unmissable birthday specials.

Throughout the weekend, visitors will be able to indulge in delicious dishes from around the globe with all vendors offering 10% off their food and drink menus.

In addition, there will be discounted entry price the entire weekend. As it wouldn’t be a birthday celebration without entertainment, Grazeland will play host to a line-up of bands including Chivas & Kitty Kat, Tanya George and Unlimited. Roving entertainers and face painting will also add to the party vibes for its 1st birthday.

Each week, Grazeland is serving hungry visitors over half a tonne of calamari rings, 1400 pizzas, 1000 lobster rolls, 4000 arancini balls and 2000 tacos all washed down with 700 bottles of wine and 4000 litres of beer. These weekly numbers are set to increase in 2022 as the destination aims to feed 1.5 million visitors this year.

First announced in November 2019 and slated to open early 2020, Grazeland and its team were met with continuous setbacks due to COVID-19, with its opening eventually pushed back to March 26th 2021.

Despite the many hurdles, Grazeland’s resilient traders and dedicated community of foodies have transformed it into one of the city’s most thriving eating, drinking and entertainment experiences of the past year.

John Forman, Grazeland Director said: “Opening a business during COVID, let alone an ambitious project like Grazeland, was incredibly difficult and challenging. But with passion, determination, and the dedication of our resilient traders, Grazeland is exactly how we dreamt it would be. We can’t thank the community enough for embracing it with such open arms and we warmly welcome them to celebrate this milestone with us!”

Grazeland continues to assist Melbourne’s COVID recovery by continuously supporting food and beverage suppliers, local jobs and the visitor economy. The venue supports the live music industry with weekly performances by a range of established and up and coming artists.
