Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria & Tasmania invites the community to participate in their Volunteer Open Day.

The events will be held at five different locations across Victoria and Tasmania, including:

  • Ronald McDonald House Hobart,
  • Ronald McDonald House Monash,
  • Ronald McDonald House North Fitzroy,
  • Ronald McDonald House Parkville,
  • Ronald McDonald Family Room Wodonga.

The Volunteer Open Days are an opportunity for people to learn about the work of the charity and to find out how they can get involved as a volunteer. Visitors will have the chance to meet the staff, tour the facilities, and speak with current volunteers about their experiences.

Volunteers play a crucial role in supporting the families who stay at Ronald McDonald Houses, and the charity is keen to increase its volunteer numbers. From cooking and cleaning to administrative tasks and fundraising, there are many ways for people to get involved and make a difference.

“We are thrilled to be hosting these Volunteer Open Days, and we hope that it will inspire more people to get involved in our work. Our volunteers are the heart of what we do, and we couldn’t provide the support we do to families without them,”

said Peter Bishop, CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria & Tasmania.

The Volunteer Open Days will be held on Friday 24 February from 10am to 3pm and Saturday 25 February from 9am to 12pm.
